Universal was founded by Wiley Hatcher as a survey company in 1961 and continues to operate under his direction as CEO. Since 1961, we have continually leveraged our accomplishments in order to expand our core services. We are one of the largest pipeline survey companies in the United States. We have multiple business segments that span the energy service continuum including international operations. Close collaboration among the business segments enables Universal to provide clients with innovative, robust solutions, from front-end engineering design to as-built field documentation.
