Personal injury, property damage and resulting loss of production are not acceptable. We believe that we are obligated to protect the human, physical and financial resources of both Universal and our clients. We recognize our responsibility to manage our business in a manner that will effectively conserve and utilize these resources in a safe and productive environment.

Our Policy:

• Each employee, as a condition of employment, is responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of others
• No job is urgent or vital enough to justify the sacrifice of safety
• A job is well done only if it is done safely

We will:

• Provide necessary instruction and protective equipment and measures when hazardous work must be performed
• Comply with all applicable rules and regulations as set forth by OSHA, DOT and the client
• Recognize accident prevention as an integral part of all operational activity and not a separate program
• Hold managers and supervisors at all levels accountable for the safety performance of their operations
• Provide professional personnel to support the Safety and Health Program and to monitor performance

We recognize that an active safety program and an accident prevention program are the responsibilities of all personnel in Universal. To emphasize the extent of corporate support for the safety of our employees, we have adopted a Safety Program and Accident Prevention Manual for the operations of Universal Ensco, Inc.

BP has awarded Universal its Gold, Silver, Bronze and Platinum Safety Awards for no accidents on various BP projects.
