Florida Gas Transmission Projects
Universal performed as-built centerline survey for hundreds of miles of natural gas pipeline utilizing various survey techniques and equipment for Phase 3, 5, 6 and 7.
Universal provided the survey, design engineering, construction management and inspection for 200+ miles of natural gas pipeline for Phase 5 and 6 for various looping sections of the Florida Gas Transmission Pipeline as well as completing Phase 6 and 7 of the Florida Gas Transmission Compressor Stations which included the Turkey Point Compressor Station in Miami, Florida.
Williams Transco
For over 20 years, Universal Ensco has provided preliminary and as-built survey services for the upgrade and maintenance of the 10,500-mile Transco pipeline system from South Texas to New York City.
Vector Pipeline Project
Services Include: Project Management, Design Engineering, Pipeline Survey, Procurement Services, Construction Management
A 270-mile, 42-inch high pressure pipeline that transports 1 bcf/d of natural gas from the terminus of the Alliance pipeline near Chicago, Illinois to Sarnia, Ontario Canada.
Major highlights of this project include:
• Installation of seven (7) crossing by directional drill including the 2,900-foot St. Clair River Crossing
• The pipeline route crossed densely populated areas, Class 3 locations
• The pipeline route crossed substantial lengths of wetland areas requiring concrete weighting and special construction techniques
• The pipeline had many bends in the route and utilized a large quantity of induction bends
• Vector was the second project in the United States to incorporate the use of mechanized welding and ultrasonic testing for mainline construction
